ABOUT ME

Curiosity in Action

I’m a J.D. candidate at NYU School of Law and a graduate of Vanderbilt University, where I studied Economics and Mathematics and was an Ingram Scholar and College Scholar.

Before law school, I worked across private equity and venture capital, including at Brown Brothers Harriman’s Cedar Street Equity and Neythri Futures Fund. Those experiences sharpened my interest in how businesses grow, capital is deployed, risks are allocated, and institutions shape consequential decisions.

At NYU Law, I’m exploring how lawyers help clients navigate complex legal and business problems — and how law interacts with markets, innovation, institutions, and change.

Private Equity Summer Analyst · Cedar Street Equity

I evaluated prospective private-market investments through financial, valuation, market, competitive, and operational analysis. I prepared investment committee and limited-partner materials and supported diligence on an investment approved by the Investment Committee.

Neythri Futures Fund, Palo Alto, CA

Investment Operations Intern

I worked within an early-stage venture ecosystem focused on companies founded by South Asian women, supporting founder outreach, sourcing, pipeline development, and ecosystem relationships.

Aamara Biswas, Odisha, India

Project Manager- Volunteer· Summer 2024

I managed a World Bank-funded nanofinance initiative across 12 rural villages in Odisha, supporting 1,000+ women through financial literacy, entrepreneurship training, and technology access. Working with local stakeholders, I set up 12 self-help groups and helped translate the program into locally responsive support for women building and growing small businesses.

Early Advocacy in Washington

Representing gifted youth from New Jersey

My engagement with public institutions began well before law school. From a young age, I traveled to Capitol Hill representing gifted youth from New Jersey, meeting with congressional offices and advocating for issues affecting gifted students. Those experiences gave me an early view of how constituents, advocates, and public officials engage with one another — and helped shape my lasting interest in institutions, policy, and public service.

OUTSIDE THE BRIEF

Curiosity rarely stays in one lane.

Outside law, I’m a PADI certified Rescue SCUBA Diver and longtime musician. I play chess, paint, travel, am learning tennis and have a habit of disappearing into unusually specific policy rabbit holes.

The ocean has been a constant thread — from diving to environmental education — and adventure remains one of my favorite ways to keep learning.
